Shopping at The Artists’ House Gallery is almost like having a personal shopper. That’s because everything you see — the handmade art, pottery, jewelry, wildlife carvings, bath and body products, candles, everything — was hand-picked by artist / owner Peggy Duncan.
Peggy’s own work — landscapes and still lifes colorfully interpreted in pastels, oils and acrylics — is intermingled with the work of more than 50 artists and collections of unique bath and body products, and home accessories.
In 2007, Peggy moved the Gallery — formerly the Pluff Mudd Gallery & Crossroads Fine Art and Framing — from Bluffton, South Carolina to Bryson City, North Carolina, a small town at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Initially, The Artists‘ House Gallery was entirely housed in Peggy’s studio at 40 Victorian Drive, a vintage 1910 rock farmhouse perched on a Bryson City hilltop. The front porch overlooks the town, while the back porch overlooks the National Park.
In 2008, the Gallery expanded to a second location at 32 Everett Street in downtown Bryson City. The Artists’ House Too provides more space to display the Gallery’s full collection. Both galleries are open to the public according to the schedules at the left.
